Phase Change Materials for Energy Applications

Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are substances that can absorb (and later release) a large amount of energy as they undergo a phase transition (typically from solid to liquid, and vice versa). We will discuss the potential of PCMs for thermal storage with dr. Giulia Righetti, professor of Applied Thermodynamics at the University of Padova.

Per tutti coloro che parteciperanno all'incontro Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries: l'esperienza di Padova ci sarà la possibilità di visitare il laboratorio di Energy Storage and Multiphysics Modelling al DII con la guida del prof. Guarnieri e dell'ing. Andrea Trovò. Il laboratorio ospita, tra le altre cose, la batteria a flusso sperimentale del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale dell'Università di Padova.
